Hilton Head 2012

In July, we went to Hilton Head, SC with my parents and my sister and her family.  Christoph could only stay for the weekend, but the kids and I were able to stay for the whole week.  We had a great time, but we were all exhausted when we came back.  The kids have loved the beach this summer!  Lydia is hilarious.  She has to be watched constantly because she will just dart right out into the ocean.  No fear!

Gulf Shores Trip Number 2

Last week we headed to Gulf Shores again, this time with my extended family. When we first arrived on Saturday and Sunday, it was windy and the tide was really high because of Tropical Storm Debbie, but then for the rest of the week the weather and beach were beautiful! The ocean was great...no seaweed, no jellyfish. The girls had a blast playing in the ocean and pool, building sand castles, boogie boarding and playing with their cousins.

My cousin, Jennifer, gave the girls aprons and then helped them bake cupcakes one afternoon.
